This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Hey, so I love your work by the way. I just purchased a Canon 20D from a friend, great condish. I'm trying to expand my horizons, if I can say that, and genres of pictures and whatnot. I want to start doing portrait work, but don't know where to start. Not as easy as asking someone to smile. For your model work, do you let them act how they wish, or do you ask them for emotions and whatnot? Peace.

Whatever happens, ya live through it. It creates who we are, how we live, and who we become.
Most of the models I work with have big personalities and only need a little suggestion and direction to get moving, but even with these models I often give examples of what I'm looking for and I always point out and ask them to pause and repeat something they may have done spontaneously that catches my eye or works with my intent. When you work with subjects that don't traditionally consider themselves to be models or maybe a little shy is when the photographers direction becomes very important. Creating a comfortable condition and offering lots of direction and possible poses, ideas, or feelings seems to help out in those situations. For really shy and uncomfortable subjects the best way to get the shot is to just catch them with their guard down while they aren't focusing on themselves in front of the lens. Hope that helps : )
